Union Eagles weren't going to let the rain cancel Field Day altogether! Today we had a great day! Field Day 2024 looked a little different, but we were glad we could do it as a school! Thank you to all the staff who helped set up, run the stations, and help clean up! Without you, this day doesn't happen for our students. Here's to a great last week of school! 💙🦅💛

Check out 5th Grade's Trash Monsters! The students were challenged for Earth Day to make a trash monster made of only recyclable materials. They did a great job!

Last night our Girls on the Run program ran their practice 5K. Thank you to those staff members that gave up their time to make sure our girls were prepared for race day!! To see the girls encourage each other was inspiring!
What is Girls on the Run? Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.

STEAM DAY activities in third grade!!











Belleville AmeriCorps at Southwestern Illinois College is seeking new AmeriCorps Members to serve as Summer Camp Counselors & Tutors for elementary-aged children this summer for Belleville Public School Districts #118 & #175. Counselors & Tutors will be supervised by, and work closely with, veteran educators throughout the summer. The primary responsibilities include tutoring; lesson planning; assisting the teachers in the organization of positive recreational and enrichment activities; organizing activities; and enforcing camp policies and procedures including the discipline policy for the children. AmeriCorps Members gain national service credentials, experience, and professional development, in addition to nearly $7,000 in cash & college money for their two months of service. The application deadline is April 23, 2024.
